NEW UPDATES AS OF 9/15 @ 5 PM: 

DAMAGE TO HOMES AND BUSINESSES: 

1,379 reports of structural and electrical damage to homes or businesses. To assist our residents and businesses, the City of Orlando has waived permit fees for hurricane related repairs, valued at $10,000 or less, through October 15, 2017 for commercial properties and December 14, 2017 for residential properties.    To date, the City has waived fees on 45 permits submitted for a total of $2,616.75 in fees waived. Residents and businesses who have sustained hurricane damage should report this as soon as possible to the City to start the repair process, by contacting: City of Orlando Citizen Information Line 407.246.HELP(4357) Friday, September 15, 2017 until 5 p.m.  Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. City of Orlando Permitting Services Division  407.246.2271 or permittingservices@cityoforlando.net  Starting next week, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE: 

More than 180 traffic lights were damaged or without power Currently, 12 intersections remain damaged or without power.  Residents are reminded that an intersection with a broken signal should be treated as a four-way stop. 

  

CITY TREES: 

419 trees down and blocking streets 81 involved power lines, which we are working with OUC to address 99% of these have been cleared 81% of City roadways with tree blockage have been cleared
