Caribbean Oil & Gas Virtual Summit CARIVS 2020, the first and largest Oil & Gas virtual summit of the Caribbean region took place from 15th - 17th September 2020. CARIVS 2020 was a trailblazing expo and conference that connected the Oil & Gas spectrum through an exclusive virtual platform to connect, collaborate and confer over prolific business opportunities in the Caribbean Oil & Gas market.


In view of the fast-growing response of prospective investors in the Caribbean region’s burgeoning energy sector and also the prevalent social distancing protocols in place due to the covid-19 pandemic, CARIVS 2020 was curated as a state-of-the-art virtual platform that provided an exclusive opportunity for key Oil & Gas stakeholders to explore numerous business avenues in the developing Oil & Gas sector of Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and The Bahamas.

CARIVS 2020 featured a trailblazing three-day virtual conference and live exhibition, providing participants with an exclusive opportunity to connect directly with other exhibitors, delegates and speakers in real-time, facilitate high-level interactions and foster fruitful business alliances. CARIVS focused on five Caribbean regions primarily including Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados and The Bahamas. However, stakeholders from the wider Caribbean region were also expected to join the virtual event.


Over  1,000 Oil & Gas professionals from over 500 regional and global companies including exploration and drilling companies, investment firms, ministries and a number of entrepreneurs attended this pioneering summit. 20+ top industry leaders including ExxonMobil, Schlumberger, Saipem, Hess and SBM offshore along with other big names from the Oil & Gas Industry exhibited at this event.

Prominent names including Her Excellency PM Motley of Barbados addressed attendees at CARIVS. Also, His Excellency the President of Guyana Irfaan Ali was represented by Hon’ble Minister of natural resources Vickram Bharrat, who delivered the opening address at the summit.
