Tokyo Groove Jyoshi (TGJ) is an all-female jazz and funk band formed in 2018 in Tokyo. The group comprises top Japanese session musicians who have come together to create a unique and electrifying fusion of jazz and funk. Formed by by producer Koichi Kaneko (Neko) and features Emi Kanazashi on keyboards and vocals, MiMi Kawakami on drums and vocals, and Rina Hoshino on bass and vocals. 

Individually, the members have distinguished musical backgrounds. Emi Kanazashi, from Shizuoka, began playing piano at age three and graduated from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music with a major in electric organ. She has collaborated with artists like Daichi Hamasaki and the soul band Eldolphin H.K. MiMi Kawakami, hailing from Ishikawa, started drumming at age seven and is a multiple-award-winning drummer. She graduated from Showa University of Music in 2019 and has released solo albums, including "The:O" in 2020 and "Family" in 2022. Rina Hoshino, born in Saitama, is a second-generation bassist who began her musical journey with the clarinet, guitar, and vocals. She has released solo albums such as "Attack!!" in 2018, "Aquarium" in 2019, and "ANCiENT" in 2020.

In April 2024, TGJ embarked on their first Australian tour, selling out four of seven shows across Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney. They returned in November 2024, expanding their tour to include Adelaide and Brisbane due to public demand. The band also performed in Las Vegas in June 2024 and scheduled a return in December 2024.
