The Lebanese owner of Trump Burger restaurant chain was founded by Roland Beainy, a Lebanese national, who opened the first location in Bellville, Texas, in 2020. Beainy reportedly moved to the U.S. in 2019 on a non-immigrant visitor visa. The chain expanded, with locations in Bay City, Flatonia, and Houston, Texas, according to its website.
However, Beainy has recently faced legal troubles. He was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in May 2025 for allegedly overstaying his visa, which reportedly expired in February 2024. ICE has stated that Beainy entered the U.S. legally as a non-immigrant visitor in 2019 but failed to depart as required. He was granted bond on June 13, 2025, and is currently undergoing immigration proceedings.
The Trump Burger chain has faced other issues, including a cease-and-desist letter from the Trump Organization in February 2025, accusing the restaurant of "misleading the public into falsely believing that your business is affiliated with the Trump Organization or endorsed by our clients". Additionally, one of the Trump Burger locations in Kemah, Texas, has been involved in a dispute with its landlord and was reportedly renamed "Maga Burger"
There are alleged reports of the owner being bigoted and expressed hate for black folks and hispanics, and even discussed ways of blocking them from his stores. One twitter post even noted that he joked about returning to the days when there were signs on restaurant doors stating "whites only". If these statements are true, this is a person that America should kick out.
