Evangelical Christian leader Russell Moore revealed this week that many evangelical pastors have become alarmed that their Trump-loving congregants have become so militant that they are even rejecting the teachings of Jesus Christ.

"Multiple pastors tell me the same story about quoting the Sermon on the Mount, parenthetically, in their preaching — 'turn the other cheek' — [and] to have someone come up after to say, 'Where did you get those liberal talking points?', and what was alarming to me is that in most of these scenarios, when the pastor would say, 'I'm literally quoting Jesus Christ,' the response would not be, 'I apologize.' The response would be, 'Yes, but that doesn't work anymore. That's weak.'"

Moore said that multiple pastors had told him disturbing stories about their congregants being upset when they read from the famous "Sermon on the Mount" in which Christ espoused the principles of forgiveness and mercy as central to Christian doctrine. They hated that concept. They don't believe the god of the israelites who attacked and destroyed so many cities under command from god, would be so weak to turn a cheek after being slapped, had out free food to useless bums or stop people from gaining wealth. To them someone changed the "true" story of jesus.

Pastor Moore who has been an outspoken critic of many evangelicals which have embrace the vile cult of Trump, argues that this has led him to conclude that American evangelical Christianity is now in crisis. He suggested in an interview that Trump had transformed the political landscape in the U.S. to the point where some Christian conservatives are openly denouncing a central doctrine of their religion as being too "weak" and "liberal" for their liking and moving towards hate of humans in lesser status of health and wealth, and some even talk about exterminating the weak because god only want the strong to survive.

With more than 74 million Americans voting for trump in 2020, and 98% being christians, it's quite likely that a new spin-off of the religion is being developed, one more focused on greed, hate and conquest, you know, just as it was when it was created by emperor constantine in 330ad. It's just a reversion to a dark era.
