The debate was a thrill to watch, especially when Andrew Holness of the JLP turned to Mark Golding of the PNP and asked "are you truly a Jamaican?". Golding, when asked by TVJs Dionne Jackson-Miller about tax plan, took the first 50 seconds of his time to bust out his birth certificate and show it off. Of course this gesture has been the talk of media all day and most certainly will have that viral effect for many months.
Caribbean American Passport is for the Caribbean-American people who celebrate the unique vibrancy of the Caribbean culture coupled with an American perspective. The people who might be in a suit but will at the very least, tap their foot once Reggae or Soca hits their ear. The Caribbean American who knows that the future of our families is made better by the present we work on today.
