Thanks to the generosity of Bahamasair, we had the opportunity to embark on a familiarization trip to The Bahamas, experiencing the islands during one of their most exciting times of the year: Bahamas Carnival. The journey provided a firsthand look at the country’s vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and growing connections to the wider Caribbean community.
From the moment we arrived, the spirit of Bahamas Carnival was impossible to miss. The streets were alive with music, colorful costumes, and an infectious energy that brought together locals and visitors alike. It was especially exciting to reconnect with many familiar faces from the Orlando Carnival community, reinforcing the strong cultural ties that unite Caribbean celebrations across borders. The festival showcased not only the rich traditions of The Bahamas but also the importance of Carnival as a celebration of heritage, creativity, and community.
One of the most exciting aspects of the trip was learning about Bahamasair’s unique travel opportunities for Carnival enthusiasts. The experience was made even more enjoyable through the hospitality of Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau, which welcomed us with special rates on food and beverages during our stay. The resort provided a comfortable home base from which to explore the island and enjoy the festivities, adding another layer of warmth to an already memorable visit.
