The energy was undeniable at the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando’s 2026 Political Hob Nob on July 16, as candidates, community leaders, and engaged voters gathered for an evening centered around conversation, connection, and civic engagement.  With music filling the room, attendees dancing, and meaningful conversations happening throughout the event, the Political Hob Nob created an atmosphere where members of the community could connect directly with candidates, learn about their priorities, and discuss the issues impacting Central Florida.

Caribbean American Passport was proud to be on the ground covering the event, capturing the excitement, engagement, and community spirit that made the evening memorable. The event was more than a political gathering—it was an opportunity for voters to meet candidates face-to-face, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of the individuals seeking to serve their communities.

Throughout the evening, Caribbean American Passport had the opportunity to speak with several candidates, including Greg Filak, Felipe Sousa, Julio Rocha, Christina Arguelles, and Representative Leonard Spencer. These conversations highlighted the importance of creating spaces where candidates and voters can come together to exchange ideas and discuss the future of Central Florida.  Events like the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando’s Political Hob Nob demonstrate the importance of civic participation and community involvement. Bringing together culture, leadership, and public engagement allows residents to stay informed and better understand the choices they will have at the ballot box.
